Amanda Taylor

Amanda Taylor is a Business and Wealth Strategist with deep roots in capital markets, founder readiness, and investor-side education. She brings a practical, no-illusions perspective to fundraising: most founders are not as ready for venture capital as they believe, and the work of getting there starts with the business itself and the existing capital stack.

Amanda has evaluated early-stage startups as a judge for the Texas AI Challenge Showcase at SMU, where she assessed founders pitching live to investors, founders, and innovation leaders across the Texas startup ecosystem. She designed and ran investor readiness programming for She Talks, including pitch competitions that prepared women founders to present with clarity and confidence. She also delivered a 12-week program through Aquillius, a biotech incubator, focused on the investor side of venture capital, including investor psychology and due diligence frameworks that founders rarely see until it is too late.

Her capital-raising background extends to real estate, where she has been sourcing and structuring capital through private lenders, hedge funds, and syndications since 2017. Through her consulting practice, she works with trades businesses, medical and dental practices, and service-based businesses to help them become funding, acquisition, and exit ready.

Amanda’s philosophy is that debt is cheaper than equity, and that the founders who win with institutional capital are the ones who did the structural work first. That is the lens she brings to every stage of investor preparation.
