WordPress Youth Training Program
Our world is rapidly changing, especially in the world of tech. Even more, is the way people research companies and shop. In fact, 92% of consumers visit a business website for the first time for a reason other than making a purchase. 60% of shoppers start their online product research with a search engine. 62% of customers share online deals with their friends. 69% of Americans shop online, with 25% doing so at least once per month. This continued reliance on ecommerce requires people with skills to build, maintain, and update customer’s websites. There are many options out there in the market for building a website however there is one platform that is continuing to outperform all others, WordPress!
WordPress sites make up about 25% of all the websites created on the internet which means there is a huge market for learning how to build sites using this platform. Skills like this are not taught in schools, even in college, yet there is a massive need for these to be created. I believe that our teens have a unique opportunity to get into this field early and learn a skill that can make them money and even start their own business.There are several reasons why teens should learn how to use WordPress:

I’ve been working with WordPress for almost 2 decades and have built hundreds of sites during that time frame for clients all over the world. Like I mentioned before, the schools are not teaching any of this to our youth. So, being an educator myself, I did what I know how to do best, create a program for them. So, I took my expertise as a teacher for 19 years in k-12 and my expertise in building WordPress websites, and I developed a 3 month program for youth ages 13-18 that will teach them how to build a WordPress site that has the ability to be monetized. Each student in the program will receive 1 year of website hosting, a domain name, and specific training and coaching by me to build out and develop a 3-5 page website of their own. Learning how to build a WordPress site can be a valuable experience for teens, and can help them develop skills that will be useful in many different areas of their lives. There are limited seats available. Students can also have opportunities to work with my company or other referral companies or even branch out on their own on fiverr. Students will walk away ready to start designing and making money.In this program students will receive:
- Learning and training on how to build a WordPress website with an ecommerce option
- 1 year of hosting and domain name with our company
- Group and individual coaching sessions with the instructor (me)
- Dedicated tutoring and mentoring throughout the entire process
- They will end the program with a 3-5 page website of their own (which can be used as a portfolio for future jobs)
BONUS:
After the program, students may have opportunities to work directly with our company in building out clients’ websites or working with our partner companies.
